Mader Wealth Letter - Market Uncertainty

May 10, 2022

Dear Friends and Family,

The Mader Wealth team wanted to reach out regarding the recent volatility in the market.

We understand that with the 24-hour news cycle citing market uncertainty, you may be feeling uneasy with your current investment portfolio.  While it's normal to be concerned in a time like this, it does not necessarily mean action is needed.  The simple truth is that markets can fluctuate wildly when there is uncertainty, and the conflict in Ukraine, inflation, and the Federal Reserve’s actions to combat inflation by raising interest rates all add to that uncertainty.

I encourage you to ask yourself the following questions:

  1.   Have my financial goals changed?
  2.   Has my risk tolerance changed?
  3.   Has my investing time horizon changed?

Your portfolio was constructed with downturns in mind – the money you have in stocks should be for the future, and any money you need in the next 5 years should be protected from extreme swings in value.

Please also take the time watch some of my latest videos that address these recent topics.  The videos are about 2 - 4 minutes each, so they they’re short enough to view a couple of them for some current information.

Remember, I am here to help you and your family during this time.  Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.  If you'd like to have a conversation, please call us at (651) 379-0456 and we can discuss your concerns.  If I'm not available when you call, it would be helpful to have your calendar handy, so Bob or Aaron can schedule a time for me to connect with you.

Watching carefully on your behalf,

Cam J Mader
